At Verity Ballet School, we are committed to providing a safe environment for all our students, staff, and faculty. Bullying in any form is strictly prohibited, and we have implemented a zero tolerance policy to ensure the well-being of everyone in our care. Our policy outlines the following key principles and actions:

**Definition of Bullying:**

Bullying is defined as any intentional, repetitive, and hurtful behavior that targets an individual, causing physical, emotional, or psychological harm. This includes actions such as physical intimidation, verbal abuse, cyberbullying, social exclusion, and any form of harassment.

**Reporting and Response:**

1. Anyone who witnesses or experiences bullying is encouraged to report the incident promptly to a teacher or staff member.

2. All reports will be taken seriously and treated confidentially. No retaliation will be tolerated against individuals reporting or participating in the investigation.

3. Upon receiving a report, the school will conduct a thorough investigation, involving relevant parties to gather information and assess the situation.

**Consequences:**

1. In accordance with our zero tolerance policy, any verified instance of bullying will result in immediate and appropriate consequences for the bully, which may include disciplinary actions such as suspension or expulsion.

2. The severity of consequences will be determined based on the nature and frequency of the bullying behavior.

**Support for Victims:**

Our priority is to provide support and assistance to victims of bullying. Affected individuals will receive the necessary guidance, referrals for counseling, and resources to cope with the emotional impact of the incident.

**Prevention and Education:**

1. We are committed to creating a positive and respectful atmosphere through ongoing anti-bullying education.

2. Students, staff, and parents will be educated about the signs of bullying, how to report incidents, and the importance of fostering a safe environment.

**Communication:**

1. Parents and guardians will be PROMPTLY informed of any bullying incident involving their child.

2. Regular updates and reminders about the zero tolerance bullying policy will be communicated through newsletters, meetings, and school materials.

At Verity Ballet School, we believe that everyone has the right to learn and work in an environment free from bullying and intimidation. Our zero tolerance policy reflects our 5 principals, and commits us to maintaining a safe, nurturing, and respectful community for all.
