Jr/Teen/Senior (9-19) Dress Code
All ladies: Pink backseamed tights, split sole ballet shoes (leather preferred), hair in a neat bun.
Skirts: Wrap, pull-on, or bullet skirts in the color of the dancer's choice are permitted.
General Guidelines:
All ladies should wear light pink tights.
Dancers are permitted to wear any color leotard for ensemble rehearsals.
Hair should be in a bun, with short hair secured away from the face.
Small jewelry is allowed as long as it does not distract from class.
No warm-ups or baggy clothing over leotard are permitted after pliés.
Undergarments:
Typically, ballet tights are designed to be worn without additional undergarments. This helps maintain a clean line and ensures that undergarments don't become visible during movement.
If a dancer wishes to have extra support in their leotard, a skin tone dance or sports bra may be worn.
Men are required to wear a dance belt at all times.
Gentlemen: White or black fitted t-shirt, black jazz pants, sweatpants or biker shorts. Black socks and black ballet shoes. Dance belt required.
Contemporary & Jazz
Clothing: Dancers are allowed to wear shirts, pants, or shorts over their leotard and tights for other styles of dance. Please make sure these items are pieces that can be added quickly over top of their uniform, so that changing does not cut into class time.
Shoes: Turners or ballet shoes for contemporary,
Jazz shoes or ballet shoes for jazz.
