The lasting legacy that Verity Ballet leaves

Some of our students, current and former, have been gracious enough to offer their insight on what kind of experience we offer at Verity Ballet.

Jenner W. - Secondary Science Education, Central MI University

“As an inexperienced dancer at a new studio, meeting Hannah and Noah gave me the continued strength and reason to attend classes. These two dancers and instructors helped me find confidence in my dancing, and supported me until I decided to leave the world of dance. They frequently check in and continue the relationships they flourished to provide new and exciting opportunities to not only the dancer, but the person. Working with them was an amazing opportunity, and I’m sure you’ll feel the same!”

Jen A. - Parent of Current Dancer

"After a year of dancing in a toxic environment, coming back to dance under both Hannah and Noah was exactly what my daughter needed to not only rediscover her confidence, but her love of dance as well. Both Hannah and Noah knew exactly what my daughter needed in order to dance with joy and confidence again. My daughter is now thriving and has grown significantly in her dance ability in just the last year alone. We are so grateful for Hannah and Noah and all they invest in their students to help them become the best dancers they can possibly be."

Courtney R. - Parent of Current Dancer

"As someone who danced when they were younger, I know it is rare to have dance instructors that are kind, knowledgeable, and teach in a way that encourages all dancers, no matter their skill level.  Hannah and Noah are these instructors.  You can tell they love to dance and want to pass that love of dance on to others.

I have taken several dance classes for adults with Hannah and Noah and appreciate their teaching style.  My son started dancing last year (at 14) when Hannah asked him to help with partnering for the intermediate ballet students.  Noah was there to show him how to be a better partner and help make sure his form was correct.  Hannah and Noah are the reason he will continue dancing this year."

Hana Z. - Former Student

"Hannah and Noah have both played a fundamental part in my development as an artist and dancer. They both provide a very healthy environment to learn, grow, and push myself to be the best dancer and person I can be. Because of them, I'm able to continue dancing and utilize the things I've learned from them as building blocks to continually improve both my relationship with dance & myself."

Olivia O. - Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Brigham & Women's Hospital

"I began working with Hannah and Noah at Ada Dance Academy, when I was a teenager grappling with girlhood dynamics and harmful dialogue surrounding my (and others) bodies. From my first class with Hannah, I knew I was being taught both rigorous technique by a trained eye but also how to tune into the joy of dance with every class. Competitive ballet is a hard world, especially for teenage girls trying to figure out who they are and where they fit in. But day in and day out, Hannah and Noah fostered a supportive environment that let me be myself while still growing my ballet technique. My first variation I performed was coached by Hannah and Noah, and with their teaching I competed at YAGP, countless competitions, and even won a 1st place and a title. Even on my hard days, Hannah and Noah encouraged me to dance for myself, and for the joy it brings me – rather than for the titles like so many other teachers do. It was through the time I spent learning from Hannah and Noah that my confidence was built. The mindset I built working with them benefited me in college when I made the decision to minor in dance. I found the lessons learned from Hannah and Noah seeping into my coursework as I took courses on Dance Theory, Intrinsic Movement, and Somatic Approaches. Even now, as I work in the medical field, the knowledge about uplifting others when they are torn down that I learned from Hannah sticks with me. So many girls are torn down by the dance world, and Hannah and Noah are the ray of sunshine on a rainy day that helps remind you of the beauty worth focusing on."

Kami K. - Former Student

"My dance journey with Hannah and Noah was an experience that allowed me to grow as a person and a dancer. They both have such a beautiful passion for dance and helping others find their passion in it as well. Their teaching style creates a special and trusting bond between the student and the teacher allowing for a positive and engaging experience in class. They truly care about each of their students individually. They continuously support you through dance and even outside of dance. I am truly thankful for how they provided me the opportunity to learn from them and grow as a dancer during my days in dance, and they continue to show their support for me today."

Katie B. - General Business, Grand Valley State University

"I can’t express how grateful I am to have had the opportunity to learn from Hannah and Noah. To me they weren’t just dance teachers they were also true mentors and inspiration. Their passion for dance is contagious, and their teaching styles are both engaging and encouraging. I was ready to quit dance entirely before I met them and started working with them. Under Hannah and Noah’s guidance, I was able to grow not only as a dancer but as a person too. They not only taught me dance techniques but also instilled in me a sense of discipline, dedication, and a love for the art form after I had almost given up. I am truly grateful for all the knowledge and skills I have gained through their classes. I highly recommend learning from Hannah and Noah to anyone who has an interest in dance whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine or further your technique."
